Director, Family Medicine, Primary Care internal Medicine UVM Medical Center. Amy works collaboratively with the Department chairs at the University of Vermont to administer a 9 site primary care network, a walk-in care clinic, inpatient hospitalist program and dental clinic. UVM Medical Center is a university-based teaching facility with a strong medical group where primary care is a key component of success. Prior positions include Director, Elliot Physician Network (EPN) at Elliot Health Systems in Manchester New Hampshire. EPN is a robust primary care network comprising over 60 providers in the greater Manchester area. Prior to EHS, Amy was the Vice President, Clinical Services &Chief Nursing Officer at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital with four rural health clinics on the mid-coast of Maine. The hospital is an affiliate hospital of Eastern Maine Healthcare System, a seven hospital network, which serves the northern region of Maine. In her role, Ms. Dobson administered the physician practices as well as nursing services of the critical access hospital. Prior to BHMH Amy was the Chief Operations Officer in a private OB/GYN practice; she was responsible for physician recruitment, contract negotiation, and staff management. In this role she significantly improved the operations and revenue of the practice. Amy has had prior leadership roles in Homecare and hospital settings. In her current position at UVM Medical Center Amy is setting the course for the primary care embarking on an initiative called Transforming Primary Care Delivery creating a robust network of patient centered medical homes in the greater Burlington area of VT.
