Jill Briggs is the Community Health Services Administrator and the Director of Public Health for Chisago County.  Jill began her public health career in 1979 as a public health nurse (PHN). She’s had the honor of working in a variety of positions in local public health including PHN, and manager, for Dakota County and Washington County.  She also worked  at the Minnesota Department of Health in a variety of jobs including Maternal Child Health Director for the State of Minnesota leading programs in family planning, infant mortality, home visiting, women’s health and newborn hearing and screening. 

Jill has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of St. Catherine with a degree in nursing, and a Master Degree in Nursing and a Master Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Minnesota. In 2007 she became a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow.  

In 2013 Jill retired from the 8-4:30 work world. Jill continues to be a member of the the Minnesota Public Health Association and the American Public Health Assoiciation and enjoys doing special projects.
