Ms. Davis is the Deputy Commissioner for the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) in Hartford. The agency employs over 800 staff and its mission is to promote and protect the health and safety of Connecticut’s residents. Ms. Davis started with the DPH in 1995 as a nurse consultant and has been consistently promoted throughout her years of service at the Department of Public Health. She was promoted to Deputy Commissioner in September 2011. Ms. Davis is the President of the Northern CT Chapter of the Black Nurses Association, a member of CT Nurses Association, CT Association of Public Health Nurses, Policy Advisory Committee for the Donaghue Foundation, Glastonbury Human Relations Commission, and the Glastonbury MLK Community Initiatives.
