Lisa is the Chief Patient Care Officer Officer/Chief Nurse Executive for Lee Health System in Fort Myers, Florida. Lee Health System is a 5 hospital system that includes HealthPark Medical Center, Gulf Coast Medical Center, Cape Coral Hospital, Lee Memorial Hospital and Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. 

 

Lee Health’s Chief Patient Care Officer/CNE is the nurse executive who leads development of system wide, and continuum wide nursing care strategies in support of the Lee Health Strategic plan.  A dyad relationship with the Chief Medical Officer in co-leading system-wide strategies for all clinical care quality, safety and customer service.  The CPCO also provides strategic leadership across the network for patient care including service line accountability for Oncology, Heart & Vascular Institute, Neuroscience Institute, Orthopedic Co-Management, Behavioral Health and Infectious Disease.  Current programmatic development includes:

  • Collaboration on implementation of an ACO and PSN for Lee Health
  • Cardiac Bundled Payment program

  • Lee Health Coconut Point:  Freestanding ED, ASC, Care Continuum Unit and Physician Offices

  • Design and Development collaboration with Facilities and Operation for Lee Health Coconut Point that includes a Healthy Living focus with a freestanding ED, Ortho Observation Unit, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Health Lifestyle Center and primary and specialty physician practices.

 

Her  career encompassed serving as Chief Administrative Officer for Lee Memorial Hospital from 2010-2017, Vice President of Patient Care Services from 2007 -2010 in which she facilitated the creation of a triage demand shelter in collaboration with community agencies to expand mental health services within Lee County.  She served as Executive Director for Emergency Services for the Lee Memorial Health System from 2004 -2007 implementing improvements in patient safety, patient flow and strategic plans utilizing six sigma and lean processes.   Prior to coming to Lee Memorial she served as director for Emergency Services in Port Charlotte, Florida and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in addition to serving as the Chief Deputy Coroner for Montgomery County Pennsylvania from 1995-2000.  She is a 2010 alumnus of the Wharton/Johnson and Johnson Nurse Executive Nurse Fellows Program, a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives,  and is currently an active member in Sigma Theta Tau,  F.N.A., A.O.N.E., S.W.O.N.E. and E.N.A., serving as the Director for Southwest Organization of Nurse Executives for Lee County from 2009-2011. She was recently appointed to the Florida Nurses' Association Leadership Development and Certificate of Need Committees for 2014-2015.  She is currently the President for NurseTRUST and a past president-elect of the RWF-ENF Alumni Association Board of Directors.
