Ann Cary Ph.D., M.P.H., B.S.N., R.N., A-C.C.C., 2008 Cohort
Director of School of Nursing, Loyola University in New Orleans. Dr. Cary was formally the Associate Dean at the School of Nursing where she directed distance-learning programs for the School of Public health and Health Sciences and the School of Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has been in the field of higher education for 25 years as a champion for public health nursing and interdisciplinary practice. Dr. Cary has authored over 70 publications in leadership, public health and nursing, case management, ethics and credentialing; grants for new programming to expand graduate education; and web-based professional development products. She provides consultation to higher education for curriculum development, credentialing, new program expansion, and grantsmanship, and is a visiting faculty member for courses in public health and leadership. She was awarded the Phi Kappa Phi Recognition award (2006), and the Outstanding Public Health Nurse Educator for Virginia and Great 100 Virginia Nurses (1999). She has also been a U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Primary Care Policy Fellow.
