Director of Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis Counties Community Health Board in Duluth, Minnesota. As Director, Ms. Myhre oversees numerous public health programs as well as leads assessment and planning efforts by working with the four counties and other agencies to assess and address public health issues, strengthen local public health and provide fiscal and administrative oversight with the goal of increasing effectiveness. She has developed a number of regional programs addressing breastfeeding, obesity and alcohol, tobacco and other drug use prevention totaling approximately $3 million. Previously she served as Supervisor of Carlton County Public Health Services and Adjunct Professor for the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. In addition she served in a leadership role as the Chair-Elect and Chair of the Minnesota Local Public Health Association (LPHA) (2006–2007). Ms. Myhre has served on numerous public health committees and workgroups such as LPHA Executive and Legislative Committees (2004– current), State WIC Advisory Committee (2008–current), Alternate to State Community Health Services Advisory Committee that advises the Commissioner of Health. Ms. Myhre has received the following awards: Outstanding Service Award (2007) and Outstanding Leadership Award (2004) for the Minnesota Local Public Health Association, Public Health Quality Improvement Innovator Award for the Minnesota Department of Health (2008).
