Cynthia Barginere is the Vice President for Patient Care Services at Baptist Medical Center South, Montgomery Alabama. Baptist Medical Center South, a member of the Baptist Health System and affiliate of the UAB Health System, is a 454 bed acute care regional referral and tertiary care center for the central region of Alabama. The facility is a faith-based acute care center providing a wide range of clinical services, including, women and children's health, neonatology, cardiovascular, orthopedics, and neurology/neurosurgery.
Cynthia Barginere served as the Chief Nursing Officer and Associate Executive Director of UAB University of Alabama Hospital for the past four years, and a member of the executive management team at UABH for the past eight years. UAB Hospital is a 908-bed tertiary care facility and level one trauma center serving as a regional referral center where seriously ill and injured patients ca receive comprehensive care within an integrated network of specialized services. The hospital was awarded the Magnet Recognition f Excellence in Nursing Service designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in March 2002 and re-designation in April 2006.
Ms Barginere received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Alabama and her master's degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Ms Barginere is a Johnson and Johnson Wharton Fellow – Class of 2003 and a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow – Cohort 2003, as well as an ACHE Diplomate.
