Dr. Frank-Lightfoot is the Chief Nursing Officer of Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and Affiliates in Fort Wayne Indiana.  PRMC is comprised of the flagship Regional Medical Center, Heart Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.  Loraine is also the CNO for Parkview Randallia Hospital and Parkview Behavioral Health Hospital.  Additionally, she is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice and a Clinical Instructor of Practice with the Ohio State University.

Prior to her role at Parkview, Loraine was the CNO at Wooster Community Hospital in Ohio for ten years.  In that role, she directed nursing practice and patient services for a hospital that has been recognized by organizations such as Truven and Healthgrades for outstanding patient experience and outcomes.  During her tenure she and the nursing staff developed and implemented a nursing philosophy and practice model and a hospital wide shared governance structure.  She has overseen the development of a CARF Accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit and a stroke program which is TJC accredited as a Primary Stroke Center.  Loraine was involved in the development of a Joint Replacement Center which resulted in TJC accreditation for total knee and total hip replacement.  She partnered with local universities to increase the use of the hospital for BSN and MSN clinical experiences using hospital staff as faculty.

Recent projects included the development of a community health worker program, transitional care unit, a multi-disciplinary staff-driven evidence based practice model and a standardized after hospital care plan.   Loraine is certified in the use of LEAN methodologies and has used this approach to improve processes throughout her facility.

Loraine is a member of the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, the Indiana Center for Nursing, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.  She has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi and has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumni by the University of Akron.  Loraine holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in business from Cleveland State University.
