Carl Christensen's professional interests range from teaching young adults to caring for senior citizens, from participating in state nursing organizations to learning about health care systems around the world. Carl is the Dean for the Buntain School of Nursing in Kirkland, Washington. His thirty years of clinical experience has primarily been in long-term care settings. He has served as President of the Council of Nursing Education in Washington State and as a Board of Trustees member for Bayview Retirement Community in Seattle. Foreign experiences include studing as a Fulbright Scholar in Norway and taking nursing students to India and Taiwan. His love for teaching health care public policy and strategic planning are grounded in his work experience within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as Administrator for Warm Beach Senior Community's nursing home, and internships in the Oregon State Legislature and the U.S. House of Representatives.
