Linda Norlander RN MS is the Director for the Franciscan hospice and palliative care program in Tacoma, Washington. She leads clinical quality initiatives for a program with an average daily census of 550 hospice patients in the community and a 20 bed inpatient unit. She is the author of three books, To Comfort Always: A Nurse's Guide to End of Life Care, Being Present: A Nurse's Resource for End of Life Communications (co-authored with Marjorie Schaffer) and Choices at the End of Life: Finding Out What Your Parents Want Before It's Too Late, (co-authored with Kerstin McSteen). She has also published journal articles on advance care planning, management of patient suffering, and interdisciplinary teamwork. She is a 2001 Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow.
