Named Permanent Provost March 8, 2015; Interim Provost 2014-2015 previously, Dean and Professor, Illinois State University, Mennonite College of Nursing. Dr. Krejci previously served at Marquette University in faculty and administrative roles. She served in leadership positions for many university and college committees; her publications, presentations, and funded grants relate to leadership, nurse retention, change, work climate, systems thinking, and workforce diversity. Dr. Krejci has presented many nationa, regional and local l keynote presentations and workshops for health care and higher education audiences. She was awarded a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant to increase nursing workforce diversity. This grant focused on in-depth leadership development for students early in their careers. Dr. Krejci has worked as a clinical nurse specialist and leadership consultant in higher education and acute and long term care. She was an American Council on Education Fellow for 2007-2008, hosted by Arizona State University. Selected awards include the UW–Milwaukee Outstanding Nursing Alumnus, Wisconsin Nursing Association Teaching Excellence, Sigma Theta Tau, International, (Delta Gamma) Outstanding Nurse Scholar, Marquette All-University Teaching Excellence and the American Nurses Administration (ANA) book of the year award (Norma Lang et. al).
