Peggy Gordin, MS, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN Peggy is Vice President of Patient Care Services at St. Louis Children's Hospital, a member of the BJC Healthcare system in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to coming to St. Louis Children's in June 2008, she worked at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for 25 years. There she was a neonatal clinical nurse specialist for 10 years, director of neonatal nursing for 15 years, and director for the pediatric intensive care unit, emergency department and several medical units concurrently at various times. She also served as the interim senior vice president and chief nursing officer from December 2006 - January 2008. Peggy was on the board of the National Association of Neonatal Nursing for 8 years, serving as president from 2007-2008. Peggy was elected a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in 1995. She has also served as a peer reviewer for four clinical nursing journals, and has authored a number of articles in peer-reviewed publications as well as book chapters. Peggy is also experienced as a presenter on clinical and leadership topics at national meetings. She obtained a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 1976, a BSN from Duke University School of Nursing in 1978, and a MS in Perinatal nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing in 1982. During graduate school she was the recipient of a Louise Mellen Fellowship for Graduate Study in Critical Care Nursing.
