Kim Moore, RN, MSN, FACHE, is the President of CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prior to this she was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer of the organization. CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a 260 bed organization which is a part of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) in Englewood, Colorado. As President, in collaboration with CHI, Ms. Moore is involved in setting strategic and operational direction for the organization. Throughout her career, her focus has always been on strategies and practices that elevate patient care to its highest level. Ms. Moore has successfully lead the organization through three Magnet designations, multiple Joint Commission Accreditations, and has developed programs and systems to create a healing environment for patients, families, and staff. In 2004 Ms. Moore developed a Patient Advisory Council, one of the first in CHI, and was part of the design team to develop a national toolkit for implementation of Patient and Family Advisory Councils throughout all CHI hospitals. Ms. Moore has extensive experience in quality and safety initiatives; creating healing environments and developing nursing professional practice models, as she continues to focus on improving patient care across the continuum through collaboration and community partnerships. She has spoken to a wide variety of local, regional and national audiences on these and other topics. Ms. Moore serves as a member of ACHE, Sigma Theta Tau International, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and past president of the Nebraska Organization of Nurse Leaders. She is an Adjunct Clinical Associate with the University of Nebraska, College of Nursing, and serves on a variety of community and professional boards.
