As the Regional Clinical Adult Service Director, Lisa is responsible for providing regional leadership for nursing practice in the area of adult services, implementing pracice changes, best practice identification and dissemination, and efforts to reduce practice variation.
Previously she has served as Chief Nursing Officer at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center & Health Centers, the safety net for Contra Costa County, California. She brings with her experience of manager of critical care services at Contra Costa and Director of Nursing, Interim at Kent State University Ashtabula Campus. She has published in Nurse Educator and Nursing Management, and has been funded to study critical thinking in pre-licensure students. She holds a Master's Degree in nursing with a focus on nursing administration from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania and is nationally certified in critical care nursing and nursing administration, advanced. Massarweh is participating in a fellowship through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for Executive Nurses, and recently completed a fellowship with the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems on safety and quality. Her passion is to integrate learning and clinical practice to create a new work environment.
Professional memberships include: American Organization of Nurse Executives, Association of California Nurse Leaders, Sigma Theta Tau (Alpha Eta chapter), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
