Associate Director, Program Planning and Development, Office of Workforce and Career Development, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, she served as Director, Career Epidemiology Field Officer Program, in the Coordinating Office for Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response at the CDC. Ms. Drehobl has been with CDC since1990, and has worked in an array of public health programs. During 2005, she was instrumental in initiating a new CDC collaboration with the Association of State and Territorial Directors of Nursing (ASTDN), the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, the National Association of County and City Health Officials, and the Office of the Chief Nurse, U.S. Public Health Service to enhance the capacity of public health nurses on leadership activities. Awards include the U.S. Public Health Service Chief Nurse Officer Award, (2007 and2002), ASTDN Special Recognition Award (2006), CDC Distinguished Service Award (2006), and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Award for Distinguished Service (2002).
